Hi Please help a duffer. If a pattern says 'continue knitting until the armhole measures 19cm', how exactly is the 'armhole' measured? Tape measure held vertically from the start of the decreases, or run round the curve of the armhole? Thanks!

I believe you measure it from the start of the armhole you measure it from the point where the decreasing began to the top of the shoulder but not circularly, straight!

Hi there. I'd also measure it in a straight line from the start of the decreases. x

If you put your work on a flat surface and measure vertically from the start of the armhole to your needle is makes measuring easier.
